| Important Information about Exchange Transition The Exchange is in transition from under ONC sponsorship to a new, as yet unnamed, organization. By mid-summer 2012, we expect to be able to provide the details concerning the changes and how they will impact organizations that are Onboarding or considering doing so. For now, we know that our current processes and policies are still in effect for the next few months. |
Welcome to Nationwide Health Information Network Exchange Onboarding!
Onboarding is a self-guided process for Applicant Organizations (Applicants) to submit an application and conduct system testing for approval to join the Nationwide Health Information Network Exchange (Exchange). The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the Exchange Onboarding Contractor (Exchange Onboarding Team or Onboarding Team) designed this process for Applicants wishing to exchange health information with federal agencies and large nationwide entities requiring a high level of trust and the ability to engage in multi-point health information exchanges.
